Hello!

My name is Katie and I am excited to join the team at Chasing Dreams Support Planning.

I graduated from St. Cloud State University in 2015 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Community Psychology. After working in the mental health field, I decided to further my education and earned a Master’s of Social Work from Simmons University in 2019. Following two years of supervised practice, I became a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and worked for six years as a mental health therapist. Throughout my career, I’ve collaborated closely with social services, but I’m now eager to make a more direct impact through support planning. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, running, hiking, reading, and spending quality time with my husband and our two dogs. I also love watching and playing sports and even play in a sand volleyball and bowling league!

    I would give six out of five stars if I could. Here's a summary of our experience with Chasing Dreams: My wife and I have two children, both on the autism spectrum. We'd been working for almost two years towards accessing county resources. Because of some difficulty navigating the labyrinth of several levels of government, MNCHOICES mandated deadlines, and admittedly some of our own lapses in staying on top of things, we ended up with a VERY short window of 18 days to onboard with a Support Planner, develop two Support Plans, submit them to the county, receive county committee feedback, and make any necessary changes for approval. Katie, our Support Planner at Chasing Dreams, worked every single day, including Saturdays and Sundays, from the time she was assigned to our family to the day we received approval on our second Support Plan, which was, as mentioned, 18 days. Katie is diligent, knowledgeable, attentive, dedicated, honest, and, most of all, supportive. We recommend Chasing Dreams to anyone who needs the services they provide (we are on CDCS DD Waiver), not just because they are excellent at what they do, but also because they are passionate, devoted, and dedicated to going above and beyond to help those of us who find ourselves in critical need of help for our children.
